How to storm-proof your roof this winter
The common weak spots storms find on Surrey roofs, and the repairs that stop wind and rain damage before it happens.
Ridge and verge tiles
Old mortar-bedded ridge and verge tiles are often the first to blow off. Dry-fix systems mechanically secure them.
Loose or slipped tiles
One loose tile lets wind get underneath and lift the rest. Re-fixing them now prevents bigger damage.
Flat roofs and flashing
Blisters, splits and failed lead flashing let water in fast during driving rain. A quick repair now avoids a ceiling repair later.
